After 22 years working for NatWest Angela was made redundant at 51 and decided to follow her dreams and created Harley Hounds Raw Food supplies. With wide knowledge and a passion for raw. Angela followed agility teams around the midlands with a freezer and a generator to promote HH and start her wonderful business, this led to the beginning of Angie’s raw food clientele.
Angie continued to follow dog shows around the county which continued to grow HH and our customer base. Once a month Ang delivered all around the county with customers in Swindon, Coventry, Milton Keynes, Melksham and did a local delivery around Briley Hill. Angie did all of this from her garage and with support of her friends Claire and Alex when she was travelling. When Angie received her redundancy money she decided to build an extension on her house and run HH from there. She had four tiny freezers and a small treat table, Ang stocked the Dogs Butcher, Locally Sourced, Nutriment and Just Natural. Overtime her neighbours were frustrated that she was running a business out of her home which inspired her to open her first shop, 170 Quarry Bank High Street, with just two employees one of them being the lovely Heather; the original HH shop had just four freezers, a treat table and a walk-in no bigger than your garden shed. The first shop opened back in 2018 and we moved into our second shop three days before lockdown and stayed open all the way through lockdown providing a natural diet for your furry friends. As heart-breaking as lockdown was for so many of us it helped HH in some ways, with an influx of people wanting furry companions to keep them company. With raw becoming more popular in the dog food industry we saw an increase in custom from you lovely lot. We then moved in to our current shop in 2023 and the rest is history. With our amazing shop being three times the size as our original shop we have grown so much as a business. HH are now stocking over 23 raw food brands and we’re expanding our expertise by creating Harley hounds exotics and small pet supplies.
